I’m Ally, a film centered photographer based in the Willamette Valley of Oregon.
Photography has meant everything to me for as long as I can remember. Even before I touched a camera, I can recall being so tuned into noticing everything and feeling such a strong need to capture the things I loved.
I tend to lean toward a very relaxed approach during shoots. I aim to create vibrant, genuine photos that bring you right back to the moment it was taken.
I think that’s why I love focusing on film photography - it provides a space for me to take my time and to photograph genuine moments.
The way that color and light show up on film remind me so deeply of the way that I viewed the world as a kid. My hope is that you feel the same way looking at my photos.
Outside of photography, I love to collage, hunt for rocks, read, travel, watch reality tv and explore Oregon with my girlfriend. Truthfully, the majority of my time is spent staring at my cats <3
I love to create and I’m always up for challenging myself with new ideas. If you have a vision you want to create, I would be so excited to make that vision come true. If you feel like we might be a great fit, you’re probably right! I’m very laid-back and my overall goal is to make sure we are both comfortable and having fun.
